I found a psychologist, but he/she is not listed on your Referral Service. Does this mean that he/she is not a psychologist?
Not necessarily.
While all practitioners listed on the BCPA Referral Service have agreed to be part of the service only if they are current registrants in good standing of the College of Psychologists of BC, not every registrant of the College is part of our Referral Service. If a psychologist is not listed with us, you should check their registration status with the College of Psychologists directly.
Please keep in mind that some school psychologists in BC are regulated by the BC Association of School Psychologists but not by the College of Psychologists of BC, so not all of them will appear in the CPBC's register.
