Luke Hupton, M.A.

Born and raised in the UK, Luke Hupton moved to Canada in 2015 to study for a Diploma in Art Therapy and later a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. He began his career on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside in an assertive outreach counselling role working with youth and young adults impacted by the ongoing opioid crisis.

He received the 2018-2019 Community Engagement Award from PCRS for his group therapy services in community. Luke has worked as a Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician with the Ministry of Children and Family Development since 2020, as both a Regional Concurrent Disorder Consultant and High Risk/Outreach Clinician. He is currently a third-year Ed.D. student in Counselling and School Psychology at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) of the University of Toronto where his research focuses on clinician perspectives of masculinity identity in adolescent gay men. Outside of his studies, Luke also serves as a Member at Large for the Educational and School Psychology Section of CPA.
