Pursue a Bachelor's degree with a focus on Psychology, such as an Honors, Specialization, or Major at one of the following institutions.
This will increase your chances of being accepted into a graduate program.
Obtain a Graduate Degree
To register as a Psychologist, you need a Doctoral degree (PhD in Psychology or a PsyD. Graduate Programs in BC:
Register as a Psychologist
Register with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
Steps:
- Review of academic qualifications.
- Apply for Registration as a Psychological Associate (if applicable).
- Complete supervised experience (1-year post-master’s internship, 3 years supervised, and 1 year pre-doctoral).
- Pass examinations (EPPP with a scale score of 500, a written jurisprudence exam, and an oral examination).
