To become a member you must meet specific criteria based on your professional status. Please see below to understand the criteria for each membership type. You must complete the application form and pay the applicable membership dues.

Guidelines

  • BCPA’s membership year is September 1st - August 31st.
  • You may join at any time, but all memberships expire on August 31st of each year.
  • Pro-rating will only be offered to new members joining BCPA for the first time.
    • September 1st - December 31st: Full Fee
    • January 1st - April 30th: 25% proration.
    • May 1st - July 30th: 50% proration.
  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Registered psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC. You will appear on our referral service.

Regular: No Referral Service

Registered psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC. You will not appear on our referral service.

Provisional Membership

Not yet a registered psychologist, but in the process of registering with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.

Academic Affiliate

You are a psychologist, working in a recognized post-secondary institution.           

CAD 100 / 12 months
Out-of-Province

Registered/licensed psychologist with a regulatory body outside of BC (ex. College of Psychologists of Ontario).

CAD 63 / 12 months
Retired

You are a retired psychologist, no longer practicing as a registered psychologist. 

CAD 63 / 12 months
Student

Student at the undergraduate or graduate level in the field of psychology.
