To become a member you must meet specific criteria based on your professional status. Please see below to understand the criteria for each membership type. You must complete the application form and pay the applicable membership dues.

Guidelines

  • BCPA’s membership year is September 1st - August 31st.
  • You may join at any time, but all memberships expire on August 31st of each year.
  • Pro-rating will only be offered to new members joining BCPA for the first time.
    • September 1st - December 31st: Full Fee
    • January 1st - April 30th: 25% proration.
    • May 1st - June 15th: 50% proration.
    • July 1st: Applications accepted for the upcoming membership year.
  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Licensed psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC. Eligible for an insurance discount with BMS. You will appear on our referral service.

 Students at the undergraduate or graduate level in the field of psychology. Free access to online workshops. Not eligible for an insurance discount with BMS.

Registered/licensed psychologist with a regulatory body outside of BC (ex. College of Psychologists of Ontario).

Academic Affiliate

Licensed, non-practicing psychologist, working in a recognized post-secondary institution.  Not eligible for an insurance discount with BMS.
